What's going on here?

...is a question all of us eventually ask ourselves at some point in our lives.  Why am I here?  What's the meaning of life?  What is my purpose?  Or maybe your questions are not as esoteric and you just wonder about things like "what happens when I die" or "is there really a Heaven or hell"?

If you're still reading this, you've considered such questions.  Regretfully, I don't have those answers... yet.  However, asking those questions eventually led me to discover A Course in Miracles.  So what's going on here... with this website and blog?  This is my account of my journey with the Course.  Hopefully what I learn and share here will help others.

Most of the "action" here takes place on my blog, to which I am trying to post my comments and thoughts about the daily lessons in CIM.  This is a radical new way of thinking and as a student I share the same doubts and confusion as I would assume most do.  My Course in Miracles blog Blog

The introduction from the Course
in Miracles
book reads:

"This is a course in miracles.  It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite. The course can therefore be summed up very simply:

Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God."

Disappearance of the Universe

My story?

I discovered A Course in Miracles because I stumbled over a book and began reading Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard.  I will be adding my comments about Mr. Renard's book at a later date, but suffice it to say this book presents radical new ideas that will cause most readers some discomfort.  Anytime we learn that what we believed to be true is not... it causes anxiety.

I draw few conclusions at this juncture. I remain as confused and perplexed as the next guy, but I have not discounted anything I have read as yet.  If you are new to the course in miracles and have not read Disappearance of the Universe, I urge you to do so as I found it to be an easier introduction to the Course than jumping in with no clue of what to expect.  See Gary's newest book, go here...
